Then we went to Pika-Pika and Minty & I took purikura. There are many different machines there so I want to try them all soon!

After that we went to Belly Good to eat crepes. Belly Good is such a cute store name isn’t it? I got a Strawberry Ice Cream Crepe with Strawberries and Cream Cheese. It was $6.30. Aaron & Minty got some kind of Almond Custard Crepe? They always make a cute face on the Crepes and the batter mix is very soft and chewy!

I love watching workers make crepes.
There is joy when I watch them… Like a small child with their grandparents that buys them sweets…

Crepes with ice-cream inside we found it to be a bit harder to eat with a spoon. The ice cream melts really fast! Overall this place is the shxt! It’s so delicious and nice soft batter, you should try when you come visit Japantown!

Listening to: ONE SCENE feat.AK-69 a.k.a.Kalassy Nikoff – Twenty 4-7

What a waste of a good title on a sp/goof entry.

This was a quote from Jenn’s UC essay with a lot of red marks and corrections on it. It was amusing to me and we both laughed about it; acutally we laugh about anything really.

But the other day, on Veterans Day/ Pepero Day, I was tricked once again into going to Ivymax . Well no, its another inside joke. Should I talk about that too? Well around the summer  time, we had to write out drafts to the UC prompts and so they would have a bunch of us students come in and Director would tell us that they would help us with our essays and to bring out laptops. Acutally, she just made us sit in a room and asked us to finish it by 8 or else we couldn’t leave… Jenn and I joked and said that we were being tricked again *^_^* We are such funny girls.

I have been to various test prep centers and maybe it is just me, I don’t like when my parents spend a lot of money on these things. It makes me feel guilty because I don’t think those things suit me; I am not academically strong obviously and there are just some things that I just don’t get and will never get no matter how much tutoring I get. *Cough* Chemistry *Cough* Math *Cough*. I’m so poor and weak in math that deep in my heart I am unable to call myself Asian. HAHA.

So anyways, I was “tricked” again on Pepero Day into coming to Ivymax and it was very lonely. It was just me alone in one of the rooms doing my UC Application on the PC sitting on the shocking chair that shocked me 10 times. No lie there. I was so mad I swapped chairs with some other chair. It reminded me when I was younger in first grade there were those play structures that always shocked you yet those silly kids would play on it everyday. How can they stand such pain?! Maybe the just all happen to be masochists. I dunno. Then again, *may* explain why I was a loner in grade school; not that I felt the loniness or anything.

I was working on my UC apps on the PC and well I really wanted to eat something and there was a tempting Cherry flavored Jolly Rancher candy… I wasn’t wearing my glasses so it was a but blurry so I couldn’t tell whether it was just my eyes or it was really fuzzy and dirty…

Let’s shooting dice!!!!

From my shocking chair, the view was like this! (It’s crab!)

Close Up Shot!
http://ririna.kowaimono.net/images/2009/nov/16/SSPX60881.jpg

So why didn’t I just go up to it and take a look? There were some grown ups that work at the center that is scary to me; I don’t want them to walk in and I’ll be examining a candy…

It is funny… they always eat the take out & fast food. So sad isn’t it? I don’t know why but I don’t like to drink coke or soda in general. I don’t like the fuzzy feeling which is painful to the throat!! I don’t like fast foods unless I have to eat it… I can’t stand the smell and the sight of teens eating it from their car at 7am in the morning as their mother is driving them to school is very NG!

Veggies are Cute Yummy Time!*

* Sorry if you don’t get this particular joke.

My friend Olga is really Pro isn’t she? I only make friends with the skilled hand at the pencil! No but, she is really skilled isn’t she? She drew it like I vision it! Really Pro! Such skill! This was for our American Democracy project and our teacher loved it so much it was his favorite Flag (We had to create our own government) that we asked if we could keep it and he said he was keeping it hehe~

Olga is so funny. I’ve known her since second grade and we were the two that sucked really really bad at Chinese. (-.__.-);;

Mini Shopping 2

Posted by ririna in GYARU, shopping on November 15th, 2009 |  1 Comment »

Well I haven’t updated for a while, and I do love shopping so I guess I will talk about that!

It’s slowly becoming Winter, in fact, today was very beautiful and sunny weather however the temperature  was very chilly…
I haven’t gone shopping at the local mall for about two years. I am a bit picky with clothing but I picked up a few items the other day.

Red Plaid Jacket

I guess one of the reasons I don’t like to go shopping much around here is because the styles don’t suit me or I just can’t seem to find anything I really like.  I hate how the clothing itself is very adorable but when I try it on, it becomes disaster. Anyways, Plaid seems to be a trend now isn’t it? Plaid looks good on just about anyone!

Black Fake Leather Jacket

I absolutely love this jacket! It is very warm and has fur on the inside. It has a rocker vibe and I love leather-like jackets; it suited me better than other jackets I’ve wanted to buy. I wanted a Rider’s Jacket -_-);; I didn’t have enough money that time…neuu .__.);;

Sleeves Close Up

Collar detail

When going shopping, you really need to dig hard! I was huffing and puffing like a animal hunter ho ho ho! It takes patience but usually you can find super cute things if you know where to look or if you have a good eye. Ho ho ho! I look for things that are not too plain looking and I always ask myself if I can incorporate that piece into my wardrobe.

It may not be your favorite color but if a color looks good on you, why not buy it?

Lastly, I bought a pair of pants.

http://ririna.kowaimono.net/images/2009/nov/15/M01A3473.JPG

Front Detail

Back Detail

They were on sale! $24.99 and who knows how much tax was! I really love the wash and the look of the pants. I want to say… It looks like some Fobby fashion/HK pants ho ho ho.

*Breaking News!*
***As I am writing this entry, my dad just came home and just told me he bought a new Honda car.***

Okay, back to what I was saying, I really love the wash. My friends call it the Motorcycle Accident Jeans because if you stare at them long enough, it will begin to look like bird poop was smashed again the jeans.  It is like, driving a motercycle @ 100 MPH and then hitting a tree and then birds flying at in all directions, no wait, crows flying out in all directions crying out  “caw! caw!” and then finally comes the poop! ho ho ho~

The ripped jeans look is seemingly popular this year don’t you think? They cost more money than jeans not ripped! The back pockets of the jeans look small… Small back pockets will make your butt look larger but dark denim will make your legs look smaller. Anyways, these are a cute pair of jeans!

Next time, I want to try Thrift Shopping!!

*おまけ BONUS*

Now, I will model these new clothes!

http://ririna.kowaimono.net/images/2009/nov/15/SSPX6058.jpg

I aim for the Rocker Gyaru look! I didn’t do make up yet…
Why is the mirror so dusty! Why so manly hands! I need some rings! *Bling Bling*!!

I wore this outfit to school and was taking pics around school and a guy asked “Are you an exchange student?”
I said “No…” And he replied “Sorry”.
I said, “It’s okay, its okay”.
I bought some lashes the other day…

Well , またね!

Happy Pepero Day!

Posted by ririna in daily life on November 11th, 2009 |  3 Comments »

11/11 is Pepero Day in Korea. Friends and lovers will give each other a delicious snack called Pepero! It is similar to that of Pocky. I wrote the date as “11/11″; does it resemble 4 long Pepero sticks? My favorite is the nude flavor!

I wanna buy some Pepero but I am on a diet… Morning Banana Diet or Kiwi Diet?

School Visit: Miyakonojo Nishi High School

Posted by ririna in daily life on November 8th, 2009 |  2 Comments »

Listening to: Super Girl – Super Junior M

Today, we have visitors at school from our sister school Miyakonojo Nishi High School from Miyazaki, Japan. Everyone was very excited! It was a bit rainy but everyone had a lot of fun anyways.

1st period: 7:30AM -8:23AM
Some of us came early to help with preparations and some of us decorated our name signs for our host student.  I forgot to take a picture of my sign that I made .__.);;

2nd period: 8:30AM – 9:22AM
The Japanese students came around 8:30AM and the we AP Japanese students went outside and held out our signs to meet our host student. My host student was Airi Seitou and she is super cute! She is so tiny and cute; we held hands happily strolling down the halls. She said that in Japan, girls usually hold hands like that too. During the Welcome Assembly, both school’s principals gave speeches and a student from each school also gave a mini speech. We also had a song presentation and the AP Students sang “Beautiful Days” by Arashi and butchered it and the Japanese students sang their song very well! But then again, they have mandatory music classes ;–;

http://ririna.kowaimono.net//wp-content/uploads/2009/11/14237_194024211822_58019682.jpg

We exchanged gifts and Airi gave me a ViVi Magazine (Yay!), Funwari Kinako Flavor, a cute box she decoed, Chocolate Biscuits, and two high lighters. I gave her a cute stuffed dog, lipgloss from Sephora, some beauty samples and a stationery set.

Registry 9:29AM – 9:43AM
During this  time, we gave our host student a tour around the school. I showed them the band room, ceramics room, football field and other parts of the school. We took some pics hehe!

3rd period: 9:50AM – 10:42AM & 4th period: 10:49AM -11:41AM
We wanted to have Undoukai outside but it was a bit rainy so we changed it to the cafeteria. The Japanese students giggled and laughed probably wondering how we can have Undoukai inside! Undoukai is like Sports Day in Japan and everyone participates. We played a few games and the AP students had to use Japanese to explain the game rules and how to play. One of the Japanese girls didn’t like ballons so she went out with her AP Student and took a walk ;3;)//

Lunch 11:41AM – 12:19PM
We got our lunches and it was this chicken salad wrap? with apple and carrots. Airi said her stomache wasn’t feeling too well so she didn’t really feel like eating. Her other friend, didn’t like cheese so she didn’t eat the wrap. Then, no one was eating except me and another Japanese girl… Then, they asked if they were suppose to eat it ( the apple ) and it was really funny. They explained they usually eat their apple’s peeled and cut, which totally explained why Tobey just before, ate apples peeled and cut. The Japanese students I was with seemed to like to eat pears…

Hey look! There’s Taylor!

Kiss Mint!?

5th period: 12:26Pm – 1:18PM
After lunch, we all went back the the cafeteria and the Japanese students got into their own groups for presentations that they had to do in various classes.  Some groups had to talk about Kimono, Radio Exercises, Teen Life, Fashion, Manga, Childen Games, etc. Airi’s group was going to talk about Gal Culture!

After their presentation practice, we had Choir give a song presentation. After, some of the AP students did a dance to the song “Sorry Sorry” by Super Juniors! It was very good and funny! They looked spiffy!!?!!

6th period: 1:25PM – 2:17PM
They went to the classrooms to give presentations. They seemed nervous but their English was good! They were giving presentation to this class, some of the students in that class was very rude. I don’t know why they were so disrespectful, yeah Gal Culture probably isn’t interesting to some immature boys but it wouldn’t kill you if you just paid attention for once for 10 minutes now would it?

After the classroom presentation, they came back the the cafeteria. It was free time now and so Airi and her friends and I just sat down and chatted. We didn’t really know what to talk about I guess we ended up talking about Boys, who was popular, what type of boys we liked and singers and actors. (*cough* Arashi *cough*) So we talked about who was ‘Moteru’!!

The girls pointed out a Japanese guy that was sitting and me and Carmen agreed; well we all 6 gossip girls (lol) agreed he was a bit scary but I’m sure he is nice hehe. I pointed out this guy I always see who I thought was Moteru haha. Airi said that Mutsuyo thought the guy in the striped shirt was a bit cute and me and Carmen tried to figure out who and she was talking about Richard! Haha 8D

We later talked about what boys we liked and we all agreed we liked tall height, nice, and sports! Actually I like any kind! We then talked about what sports we liked boys doing and I said I liked Baseball and Golf! Then everyone was like “Oh! So you like boys that do sports like this! (making gesture of Baseball and imitation of Golf)”. The movement gesture is same with Baseball, Golf, and Tennis isn’t it?

Next to us was a guy who was helping and volunteering and he talked about how he liked Hip Hop with two Japanese guys across from us. I said he should show us some moves and there was a mini B-Battle. Ho Ho! The Japanese guy was really good! He demonstrated the Moon Walk. I heard on the other side of the cafeteria, Maddie and this other Japanese guy was doing The Walk towards each other.

It’s almost time for them to leave! Right before that, Airi’s two friends bursted out that Airi had a crush on this guy and pointed him out. He was tall and he one of the 3 guys that wern’t wearing glasses. lol. She sort of freaked and said to me it was a secret and don’t say anything, I told her my secret; well who I thought was cute just to make it even. haha @v@);;

Product Review: SHILLS BB Cream & 3 Eye Makes

Posted by ririna in Beauty & Make, shopping on November 1st, 2009 |  1 Comment »

Listening to: ROSE BLOOD – ONE OK ROCK

Today I got BB Cream, a silver glitter eyeliner, and 2 pearl color eyeliners.I guess I’ll talk about them today…

http://ririna.kowaimono.net/images/2009/nov/M01A3428.JPG

BB Cream, or blemish balm is one of the popular beauty products in Asia now. After reading about it and friends talking about, I decided to try it and pick one up for myself. Some people use it like makeup and some people just use to for a light touch up. I think maybe why it is so popular is because it can help even out skin tone, hide acne scars, or just blemishes one may have but it is not heavy like foundation.

I wasn’t sure which to try out first; I will be trying out more different brands in the future so please keep reading. :)

SHILLS BB 6 in 1 Cream (Cherry Blossom Edition)

http://ririna.kowaimono.net/images/2009/nov/M01A3426.JPG

This BB Cream has well, a very pretty box.  .__.);;

For me, this product works well. It’s a bit more liquidy than other BB Creams and at first, I thought it was very dark. I thought it was quite thin, almost like water but actually, you just need like a pea size and it will be fine. It makes my skin smoother looking It has a nice flower scent but goes away quick. It blends well and I was afraid it would turn me ghost pale but instead it was more of a lively color and made my skin radiant. This also has a cute flower scent to it but it goes away very quickly and I believe this only comes in one shade.

Sephora Glitter Lashes Eye Glitter

http://ririna.kowaimono.net/images/2009/nov/Untitled-1-00.gif

For an atempt at the Gyaru Make look, I was in search of the perfect eye glitter product. I decide to get one from Sephora and thank you Jesus it was just $5.00; this thing was a peice of shi*!! It is very difficult to use and the applicator is very strange! Why did they not make it so it was a brush? Instead, the brush was attached and there was a twist knob on the other end where you would twist it and the glitter would come out of the brush tip. I am a b**** when it comes to detail and brushes without a sharp point do not pass!! The glitter goo oozes out very slowly so I have not idea whether I twisted the applicator too much or too little. When I tried to use it, the glittle goes all over the place. I could go on and on about this, but I guess I’ll stfu. haha @v@);;

SHENGJI 2 in 1 (Pearl color) Eyeliner

http://ririna.kowaimono.net/images/2009/nov/Untitled-2-00.gif

Opps. Poor photo. This was acutally an interesting product because when I got it, I was suprised to see it was a “2 in 1″ Crystal Bright Lipstick and Eye Shadow Pencil. This was the product that pops up alot when you want to search for white eyeliner for the cute Asian Dolly Make. It’s really cheap about $2.00 ~$3.00 USD so I just gave it a try. The actual stick is a little less than half of the applicator, but it was cheap so… The brand is almost like those cheap fake stuff you get from the dollar store. lol. Anyways, It works just fine and it gets a pass! However, I am a bit unsure about using it as a lipstick? I think if it was a Ganguro Make maybe it would be alright…I’m no expert on the Ganguro Style, sorry! hehe~

Inter Sense Shine Stick Eye Shadow

http://ririna.kowaimono.net/images/2009/nov/Untitled-3-00.gif

This is yet other eyeliner I got but it says eye shadow so maybe it IS an eyeshadow?? Who cares, use it as both! The tip is a bit big so it was hard to put it on. It is just about the same as the Shenji one except this one gets a bit clumpy and sometimes gets chunks on the eyelashes. It’s a bit more expensive than Shenji maybe around $2.50 ~$3.50 but I think it works just fine so pass!
